Snowflake Launches Cortex AI Suite for Financial Services

October 03, 2025
Snowflake has introduced Cortex AI for Financial Services, a suite of AI tools designed to help financial institutions deploy AI models and applications securely.

Snowflake has unveiled its first industry-specific AI suite, Cortex AI for Financial Services, aimed at banks, insurers, and investment firms. This suite bundles existing AI tools and data partnerships to facilitate the deployment of AI models and applications within the financial sector.

The suite includes the Snowflake-hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, now in public preview, which provides a secure and standardized way for users to connect enterprise data with third-party AI agents and data sources. This server supports integration with platforms such as Anthropic, CrewAI, and Salesforce's Agentforce, allowing financial institutions to build AI models and agents within a secure environment.

Cortex AI for Financial Services combines Snowflake's AI tools with data from partners like FactSet, MSCI Inc., and The Associated Press. This integration aims to streamline complex financial tasks such as market analysis, fraud detection, and customer support, while maintaining regulatory compliance and security controls.

Snowflake's MCP Server extends its capabilities beyond financial services, offering interoperability across various industries. The company plans to explore additional vertical-specific bundles in the future, marking this as its initial step into industry-specific AI solutions.
