Sensrad Secures Order for Boat Collision Prevention Radar
Sensrad, a leading radar supplier based in Sweden, has secured an order from WATCHIT for its Hugin D1 radar, powered by Arbe Robotics' chipset, to be used in a collision prevention system for recreational boats. This development was announced in a press release.
The Sensrad Hugin D1 radar was selected for its ability to provide reliable perception and navigation support in all weather and lighting conditions. WATCHIT's CEO, Tal Duvdevany, emphasized the radar's precision and reliability as key factors in advancing their vision of smarter boating safety, akin to modern automotive safety standards.
The collaboration between Sensrad and WATCHIT follows a six-month evaluation period, during which the radar's versatility and customizability for various industries, including commercial vehicles and robotics, were highlighted. This order marks a significant step into the maritime market for Sensrad, showcasing the adaptability of Arbe's radar-based perception solutions across different sectors.
