Relativity Expands Academic Program with Generative AI Curriculum
Relativity announced in a press release that it has expanded its Relativity Academic program to include modules on large language models and generative AI. The update will give law and paralegal students access to the company's aiR suite, including aiR for Review, aiR for Case Strategy, and aiR for Privilege, beginning in June.
The Relativity Academic program, now in its 14th year, reaches more than 3,000 students annually across over 115 partner institutions worldwide. It provides free access to the RelativityOne platform, allowing students to gain practical experience with legal data management and AI technology used by law firms, corporations, and government agencies.
The expanded curriculum introduces students to the use of generative AI in legal workflows, offering training on how to evaluate AI outputs and apply them in document review, case organization, and issue tagging. Faculty participants receive training, localized resources, and access to a community of professionals to support their teaching.
Relativity stated that the goal of the program is to prepare future legal professionals with AI skills that are increasingly in demand, as law firms continue to prioritize technology proficiency in hiring.
