REI Systems Launches GovSBIR Platform for Federal Innovation Programs
REI Systems has launched GovSBIR, a comprehensive platform designed to modernize the federal government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, announced in a press release. The system is built on REI's GovGrants framework and uses Salesforce's Agentforce technology to deliver an end-to-end solution for managing both grant- and contract-based awards.
GovSBIR introduces automation across the full program lifecycle, from solicitation to commercialization. It includes built-in compliance checks, automated workflows, and self-service tools to reduce administrative effort for both agencies and applicants. The platform supports configuration of business rules, evaluation criteria, and deliverables, allowing each agency to maintain independence while benefiting from shared infrastructure.
The platform integrates Salesforce’s Einstein AI to enhance productivity and program integrity. AI features include automated proposal screening, anomaly detection for fraud prevention, and virtual assistants for applicant and reviewer support. These tools are estimated to increase productivity by 30–50% based on prior implementations in REI’s government systems.
GovSBIR also enables real-time reporting to the Small Business Administration and consolidates agency workflows into a unified system. The product-based model aims to lower costs, shorten implementation cycles, and provide access to shared enhancements across participating agencies.
