Reality Defender Forms Ethics Committee with AI Policy and Trust Experts
Reality Defender has established an Ethics Committee to advise on policy and governance related to its deepfake detection work, according to a press release. The committee includes Keith Enright, chief strategy officer at Harvey AI and former chief privacy officer at Google; Luciano Floridi, founding director of the Yale Digital Ethics Center; and Yoel Roth, senior vice president of trust and safety at Match Group.
The committee will address issues such as deployment and accountability in detection infrastructure. It is expected to guide decisions across product, policy, and partnerships as Reality Defender expands its detection platform.
Enright, Floridi, and Roth bring experience in AI policy, digital ethics, and platform trust and safety. The group will begin meeting this month to support the company’s work in developing responsible detection systems for synthetic media.
