Raytheon Demonstrates ASTARTE System for Enhanced Airspace Operations

May 06, 2025
Raytheon, part of RTX, has successfully demonstrated its ASTARTE system, which integrates with military command systems to improve airspace deconfliction and mission planning.

Raytheon, a business unit of RTX, has successfully demonstrated its Air Space Total Awareness for Rapid Tactical Execution (ASTARTE) system. This demonstration took place during Project Convergence Capstone 5, where the system showcased its ability to integrate with multiple military command and control systems, announced in a press release.

The ASTARTE system is designed to enhance airspace operations and deconfliction in congested battlespaces by providing real-time operational views. It automates the process of predicting airspace usage and generating courses of action for joint fires, thereby improving decision-making speed and quality. The system's advanced capabilities were demonstrated in a Live, Virtual, Constructive environment, where Army and Air Force personnel used it to manage dynamic targets effectively.

Since its previous demonstration, ASTARTE has been refined to handle larger scenarios and improve reliability, adapting to evolving military needs. This flexibility is crucial for modern military operations, where rapid and accurate decision-making is essential.
