Qualified Health to Deploy Generative AI Across University of Texas Health Institutions

January 07, 2026
Qualified Health has partnered with the University of Texas System to roll out a large-scale generative AI deployment across its health institutions, aiming to enhance care delivery, operations, and research.

One of the largest generative AI deployments in U.S. health care is underway as Qualified Health partners with the University of Texas System to integrate AI tools across its health institutions, announced in a press release. The collaboration is anchored in the University of Texas Research, Engineering, and Application Laboratory for Healthcare Artificial Intelligence (UT REAL Health AI) initiative.

The deployment will introduce Qualified Health’s HIPAA-compliant AI chat platform to assist clinicians and implement AI agents to improve staff productivity. It will also include clinical quality registries to monitor patient outcomes and tools that identify care gaps for timely interventions. These systems aim to automate administrative tasks such as chart abstraction and documentation.

The UT System, which serves more than two million patients annually, will use a shared AI foundation across its health institutions to ensure consistent and accountable deployments. The initiative builds on earlier pilot programs at the University of Texas Medical Branch and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where Qualified Health’s AI tools demonstrated measurable clinical and financial benefits.
