Qualcomm and IBM have announced an expanded collaboration to enhance enterprise-grade generative AI solutions across edge and cloud devices, integrating IBM's watsonx.governance with Qualcomm's AI platforms.

Qualcomm and IBM have announced an expanded collaboration to enhance enterprise-grade generative AI solutions across edge and cloud devices, according to a press release. This partnership aims to integrate IBM's watsonx.governance into the Qualcomm AI Inference Suite, enabling businesses to manage AI responsibly at an enterprise scale.

The collaboration will also see IBM's Granite 3.1 models optimized for Qualcomm's platforms, available for download via the Qualcomm AI Hub. This empowers developers and businesses to leverage AI capabilities at the edge, enhancing immediacy, privacy, and reliability while reducing costs and energy consumption.

Additionally, Qualcomm's Cloud AI family of accelerators has received Red Hat OpenShift certification, facilitating hybrid cloud deployments. This certification supports the deployment of IBM's software applications, including watsonx, using Qualcomm's hardware solutions.
