PrismML created a version of its compact Bonsai language model for smart glasses using chips from Qualcomm Technologies, TechCrunch reports. Qualcomm showcased the 1-bit Bonsai model at its Snapdragon Summit on Wednesday.

The 2 billion parameter model runs locally on glasses built on the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 Platform. It supports vision and language tasks, allowing wearers to ask questions about what they are viewing in real time.

TechCrunch reports that PrismML shrinks larger models about four times while retaining almost all of their performance on standard benchmarks. No smart glasses using the model have been announced.
