Portnox Adds Controls for Unauthorized AI Apps and Agents

Portnox adds tools that detect unauthorized AI software on managed devices and automatically enforce access policies.
Portnox added controls that detect unauthorized AI applications and agents on managed devices, the company announced in a press release. Security teams can define permitted and prohibited generative AI tools and assess device risk based on installed software.
The controls detect tools including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Google Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Cursor, Codex and Ollama. When a device violates policy, Portnox can block its network access, restrict specific resources, quarantine the device or remove the application from macOS and Windows.
