Pinecone Expands to Europe with New Frankfurt Cloud Region and Product Launches

Pinecone has launched a new cloud region in Frankfurt, expanding its AI knowledge infrastructure to Central Europe. The company also introduced Nexus, KnowQL, Marketplace, a Builder plan, and full text search capabilities.

Pinecone Systems Inc announced in a press release the expansion of its AI knowledge infrastructure to Europe with the launch of a new cloud region in Frankfurt on AWS (eu-central-1). The new region enables organizations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and across Central Europe to run AI workloads with low latency and local data residency.

Alongside the regional launch, Pinecone introduced several new products and features. These include Pinecone Nexus, a knowledge engine for AI agents, and KnowQL, a declarative query language designed for information retrieval by agents. The company also unveiled the Pinecone Marketplace, which offers more than 90 ready-to-use knowledge applications.

Pinecone added a new Builder plan priced at 20 dollars per month and introduced native full text search capabilities within its core database. Dedicated read nodes are now available for high performance production workloads, offering cost reductions of up to 97 percent at scale.
