Persist AI Collaborates with Microsize and Micromacinazione on Micromill Platform for Early Drug Formulation
Persist AI has partnered with Microsize and Micromacinazione to launch the Micromill platform, announced in a press release. The system combines artificial intelligence and robotics with pharmaceutical micronization technology to enable formulation strategy decisions using only milligrams of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
The Micromill platform integrates Micromacinazione's SSM20 mini mill with Persist AI's experimentation platform. This combination allows formulation teams to conduct early assessments of micronization and bioavailability strategies using minimal material.
The platform provides a complete workflow for early stage formulation, including process evaluation, developability assessment, and reproducible data generation. It is designed to help pharmaceutical companies identify suitable formulation strategies at the pre-IND or Phase I stage, reducing the need for later reformulation and shortening the path to first-in-human studies.
