Permanente Leaders Recognized for AI and Value Based Care Advances

Maria Ansari, MD, and Ramin Davidoff, MD, co-CEOs of The Permanente Federation, were named to Becker's 2026 Great Leaders in Healthcare list for their work advancing AI tools, supporting clinician wellness, and improving patient outcomes.

Maria Ansari, MD, and Ramin Davidoff, MD, co-CEOs of The Permanente Federation, were named to Becker's Hospital Review 2026 Great Leaders in Healthcare list according to a press release. The recognition highlights their leadership in advancing value based care, expanding health care AI initiatives, and improving clinical outcomes across the organization.

Under their direction, Kaiser Permanente implemented one of the largest deployments of ambient AI scribe technology, providing access to more than 25,000 physicians. The system has reduced administrative documentation time by about one hour per clinician, allowing more focus on patient care.

Dr. Ansari and Dr. Davidoff also oversee multiple Permanente Medical Groups, which collectively manage care for 12.6 million Kaiser Permanente members across eight states and the District of Columbia. The organization has achieved top quality ratings from the National Committee for Quality Assurance and expanded virtual specialist consultations for 11 cancer types.

Becker's annual list recognizes health care leaders who are transforming the industry through innovation, technology, and clinician support programs.
