Perimeter Medical Imaging AI, Inc. has announced that its pivotal trial results for the B-Series OCT with ImgAssist AI 2.0 will be presented at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The trial demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in patients with residual cancer during surgery, achieving its primary endpoint with a p-value of 0.0050 announced in a press release.

The presentation will include both previously reported positive topline results and new analyses, covering secondary endpoints. The detailed results are under embargo until May 1, 2025, and will be published in the Annals of Surgical Oncology following the presentation by Dr. Alastair Thompson, the trial's Primary Principal Investigator.

Perimeter's B-Series OCT system, which incorporates AI technology to assist surgeons in visualizing margins in real-time during breast-conserving surgeries, is currently under evaluation for U.S. FDA premarket approval. The company plans to submit its application in early 2025, aiming to enhance the adoption of its innovative imaging technology in the United States.
