PENTAX Medical Expands MAGENTIQ EYE Colonoscopy AI Partnership Worldwide

PENTAX Medical has expanded its partnership with Magentiq Eye Ltd. to bring MAGENTIQ-COLO to more endoscopy markets through PENTAX Medical video processors.

PENTAX Medical has expanded its partnership with Magentiq Eye Ltd. to cover EMEA, JAPAC and LATAM in addition to the United States, the companies announced in a press release.

Under the agreement, MAGENTIQ-COLO will be integrated into PENTAX Medical's INSPIRA EPK-i8020c Video Processor and IMAGINA EPK-i5500c Video Processor. PENTAX Medical will market, distribute and support the combined solution in the covered regions.

MAGENTIQ-COLO supports colonoscopy with polyp detection during procedures, along with tools for diagnosis, procedure quality support and workflow. The company said the system was validated in a multicenter randomized clinical trial published in The Lancet Digital Health.

That trial showed a 26 percent relative increase in adenoma detection rate and a 48 percent relative decrease in adenoma miss rate compared with standard colonoscopy. MAGENTIQ-COLO includes features cleared by the FDA and CE marked features, with additional CE marked diagnosis and quality measurement tools available in Europe.
