Parks Associates and 3dEYE Publish Research on AI Cloud Video Monitoring

November 06, 2025
At The Monitoring Association Annual Meeting, Parks Associates released a white paper with 3dEYE highlighting how AI and cloud video solutions can cut false alarms and improve scalability in security monitoring.

At The Monitoring Association Annual Meeting in Palm Springs, Parks Associates announced in a press release the release of a new white paper titled *How to Scale Live Video Monitoring?* developed in partnership with 3dEYE. The research highlights how AI-powered cloud video platforms can reduce false alarms, improve operational efficiency, and enable scalable monitoring for security providers.

The study finds that half of home security system owners experience too many false alarms, with 62% reporting at least one per year. According to the report, AI video analytics can reduce unnecessary alerts by over 50%, while cloud-based platforms can turn tens of thousands of raw signals into just a few actionable alerts per camera each day.

By removing local hardware dependencies, cloud monitoring systems allow operators to expand across regions without increasing staff. The white paper also identifies multifamily housing as a key growth area, noting that nearly 70% of renters consider security cameras a top amenity and many are willing to pay extra for smart security packages.

Elizabeth Parks, President and CMO of Parks Associates, said the research underscores the monitoring industry’s need for scalable, AI-driven solutions to manage increasing video and alert volumes efficiently.
