OpenAI has launched AgentKit, a comprehensive toolkit aimed at simplifying the process of building and deploying AI agents. This announcement was made by CEO Sam Altman during OpenAI's Dev Day event. AgentKit is designed to provide developers with a complete set of tools to take AI agents from prototype to production.

AgentKit includes several key components such as Agent Builder, which offers a visual interface for designing agent workflows, and ChatKit, which allows developers to embed customizable chat interfaces into their applications. Additionally, the toolkit features Evals for Agents, providing tools to measure and optimize AI agent performance, and a Connector Registry for secure integration with internal and third-party systems.

The launch of AgentKit is part of OpenAI's strategy to enhance developer adoption by making the creation of AI agents more accessible and efficient. This move positions OpenAI competitively against other platforms offering similar tools for enterprise-level AI agent development.
