OpenAI Expands ChatGPT Go Plan to Indonesia
OpenAI has launched its ChatGPT Go subscription plan in Indonesia, following its successful rollout in India. The plan is priced at Rp75,000 ($4.50) per month and offers users 10 times higher usage limits compared to the free version. This includes increased message limits, image generation, and file uploads, along with improved memory for more personalized responses.
The ChatGPT Go plan is positioned between the free version and the $20-per-month ChatGPT Plus plan, providing a mid-tier option for users seeking more features without the higher cost. The plan's introduction in Indonesia aims to cater to the country's mobile-first users, who are looking for enhanced AI capabilities at an affordable price.
This move places OpenAI in direct competition with Google, which recently launched its AI Plus subscription plan in Indonesia at a similar price point. Google's plan includes access to its Gemini 2.5 Pro chatbot and various creative tools, highlighting the competitive landscape in the region's AI market.
