Odyssey Raises $310 Million Series B at $1.45 Billion Valuation

Odyssey has raised $310 million in a Series B round led by Natural Capital, with participation from Amazon, AMD Ventures, and GV, valuing the company at $1.45 billion. The startup will make Amazon Web Services its preferred cloud provider and optimize its models for AWS Trainium chips.

Odyssey has raised $310 million in a Series B round at a $1.45 billion valuation announced in a press release. The round was led by Natural Capital, with participation from Amazon, AMD Ventures, GV, EQT, and IQT.

Founded in 2023 by Oliver Cameron and Jeff Hawke, Odyssey builds world models that simulate physical environments for use in robotics, gaming, and other applications. The company has introduced several models, including Odyssey-2 Max for physics accuracy, Starchild-1 for multimodal simulation, and Agora-1 for multi-agent interaction.

As part of the funding, Amazon Web Services will become Odyssey’s preferred cloud provider. Odyssey will collaborate with Amazon’s Annapurna Labs to optimize its world models for AWS Trainium chips, focusing on research and deployment at scale.

This round brings Odyssey’s total funding to $337 million.
