NVIDIA Partners with Uber to Build Global Level 4 Robotaxi Network

October 30, 2025
NVIDIA announced a partnership with Uber to develop a global network of Level 4 autonomous vehicles powered by its DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 platform. The collaboration will support the deployment of 100,000 robotaxis starting in 2027 and expand NVIDIA’s ecosystem of autonomous mobility partners.

NVIDIA announced in a press release that it is partnering with Uber to create a global Level 4 autonomous mobility network using its DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 platform. The collaboration aims to deploy 100,000 robotaxis starting in 2027, supported by a joint AI data factory built on the NVIDIA Cosmos platform.

The DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10 system combines NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX Thor chip, DriveOS operating system, and a complete sensor suite including cameras, radar, lidar, and ultrasonics. The modular design allows automakers to integrate Level 4-ready hardware and software for scalable autonomous driving solutions.

As part of the partnership, Stellantis, Lucid, and Mercedes-Benz will develop vehicles compatible with Hyperion 10 for passenger mobility, while Aurora, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, and Waabi will apply the same technology to long-haul freight. Other ecosystem partners such as Avride, May Mobility, Momenta, Nuro, Pony.ai, Wayve, and WeRide are also collaborating with NVIDIA.

The company has also introduced the Halos Certified Program, a new system for evaluating AI safety in autonomous vehicles and robotics. This initiative complements NVIDIA’s broader push into autonomous mobility, following reports that NVIDIA is internally developing a $3 billion robotaxi project to compete with Tesla and Waymo.
