Nvidia's Revenue Heavily Influenced by Two Key Customers

Nvidia has disclosed that two unidentified customers were responsible for 39% of its revenue in the second quarter of 2025. The company reported a record revenue of $46.7 billion for the quarter ending July 27, marking a 56% increase from the previous year. This growth is largely attributed to the booming AI data center market.

In its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nvidia identified these customers as "Customer A" and "Customer B," accounting for 23% and 16% of the total revenue, respectively. These customers are described as direct buyers, such as original equipment manufacturers or system integrators, who purchase chips directly from Nvidia.

Despite the anonymity of these customers, Nvidia's Chief Financial Officer noted that large cloud service providers contributed significantly to the company's data center revenue, which constituted 88% of the total revenue. This raises questions about the potential risks associated with such a concentrated customer base, although the demand for AI infrastructure remains robust.

Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, has emphasized the company's focus on AI infrastructure, projecting significant growth in this sector by the end of the decade. The company continues to lead the AI GPU market, despite emerging competition from other tech giants developing alternative hardware solutions.
