NVIDIA paired the launch of its Open Agent Safety Platform with a $150 billion expansion of its stock buyback program, reports The Guardian. The board approval increases the total repurchase authorization to $235 billion.

The safety platform includes OpenShell, open source software that restricts an AI agent's permissions, and Sentry, a separate layer that monitors activity and can contain suspicious behavior. NVIDIA said OpenShell can also run on computing platforms from Arm and Intel.

More than 100 organizations were using the platform at launch, including Microsoft, Perplexity, Accenture and JPMorgan Chase.

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
