Nscale investors push for lower IPO valuation
Nscale faces investor pressure to lower its IPO valuation target from about $30 billion to between $16 billion and $19 billion, PYMNTS reports. Discussions remain ongoing, and no final decision has been made.
The IPO also faces complications from Microsoft's cancellation of a data center agreement. Microsoft cited delays linked to power constraints at the planned site.
Nscale is responding to comments from the US Securities and Exchange Commission on its filing. Investors are also considering the collapse of Australian data center company Firmus' IPO plans as borrowing costs rise for AI infrastructure companies.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
