Nexar Wins 2026 AI TechAward for Machine Learning Innovation
Nexar has received the 2026 AI TechAward for Machine Learning Innovation for its real world AI platform, Nexar Vera, announced in a press release. The award recognizes excellence in AI tools and technology across 20 categories, with winners selected by the independent DevNetwork Advisory Board.
Nexar Vera combines three core systems: BADAS 2.0, Nexar Apex, and Risk Index. BADAS 2.0 is a collision anticipation model family that achieved 99.4 percent average precision and ranked first across four major industry benchmarks. Nexar Apex provides a standard for autonomous vehicle testing, allowing developers, regulators, insurers, and cities to measure performance against human driving. Risk Index processes 10 billion miles of verified driving data to generate predictive roadway risk scores for insurers, fleets, and transportation agencies.
The award will be presented at AI DevSummit 2026, which takes place May 27 to 28 in South San Francisco. Nexar Vera serves as the engineering foundation for Nexar's work in physical AI safety, establishing an independent verification layer for machines operating on real roads.
