NetRise Appoints Former CISA Advisor Dr. Allan Friedman as Strategic Advisor

NetRise has appointed Dr. Allan Friedman, former Senior Advisor and Strategist at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), as its new Strategic Advisor. Friedman will support the company's efforts in advancing software supply chain transparency and risk management.

Cybersecurity firm NetRise has appointed Dr. Allan Friedman, former Senior Advisor and Strategist at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), as Strategic Advisor, announced in a press release.

Dr. Friedman previously led global cross-sector initiatives around software bill of materials (SBOM) at CISA, a key focus area for improving software supply chain security. His work has been instrumental in advancing transparency in software composition to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

At NetRise, Dr. Friedman will guide the company’s strategies for enhancing visibility into software and firmware risks. The company said his expertise will support its mission to provide comprehensive identification of software components and uncover hidden risks in supply chains.
