Neptune Software has announced a strategic shift towards building AI-powered enterprise applications, focusing on clean core SAP modernization and seamless cloud transformation. This new direction was announced in a press release and aims to enhance simplicity, agility, and long-term customer value.

The company's strategy is built on three pillars: Evolve, Adopt, and Simplify. These principles guide Neptune's product investments, ensuring continuous platform innovation to stay ahead of SAP changes and AI evolution. The strategy also aims to accelerate time-to-value through a unified platform accessible to all skill levels, while simplifying tech complexity with streamlined workflows and unified architecture.

Neptune's dual-deployment model supports both in-stack (SAP ECC or S/4HANA) and side-by-side (cloud-native) development, allowing companies to preserve SAP investments and maintain a clean core while modernizing interfaces. This approach ensures a predictable, secure, and scalable migration for SAP customers moving to RISE or GROW with SAP.

At the core of Neptune's roadmap is Applied Enterprise AI, a framework for embedding AI into application development and business execution. This includes creating AI assistants powered by enterprise data and leveraging retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for complex queries, all with enterprise guardrails in place.
