NAVER D2SF has invested in Cashmere, a data infrastructure platform that connects premium content publishers with AI companies, announced in a press release. The $5 million seed round was led by Reach Capital, with participation from NAVER D2SF, Founders Future, Fortitude Ventures, and Ingram Content Group.

Cashmere’s platform is built on its proprietary OmniPub infrastructure, which supports token-level access control, rights management, usage tracking, and revenue settlement for premium content. This setup enables publishers to protect intellectual property while creating new revenue streams.

For AI companies, Cashmere provides access to verified, authoritative data sources beyond typical web-crawled content, helping improve the quality and reliability of AI models. The company has already partnered with major publishers such as John Wiley & Sons and Harvard Business Publishing, as well as AI firm Perplexity.

Naver and its venture arm plan to explore collaboration opportunities with Cashmere, leveraging Naver’s experience as South Korea’s leading search engine.
