National Policing Institute and Polis Solutions Partner on AI-Driven Bodycam Analysis Tools

The National Policing Institute and Polis Solutions have partnered to offer law enforcement agencies data analytics services that use AI to analyze body-worn camera footage for performance insights.

National Policing Institute and Polis Solutions have announced a partnership to provide law enforcement agencies with new data analytics services that use body-worn camera (BWC) footage to assess and improve performance, announced in a press release.

The partnership combines NPI’s law enforcement research expertise with Polis Solutions’ TrustStat AI technology. Together, they will offer two services: a short-term Rapid Performance Assessment and a longer-term Performance Advisor. Both services use AI to analyze BWC footage, helping agencies derive data-driven insights from officer-citizen interactions.

The tools allow agencies to review interactions in context, considering both officer and community member actions across various call types. This approach aims to move beyond isolated incidents and provide a broader understanding of police-community engagement, informing training, policy, and operational improvements.

According to NPI, these services can support performance evaluation, training optimization, and policy development while helping agencies maximize the value of their existing BWC programs.
