Mordor Intelligence Projects Aviation Software Market to Reach $18 Billion by 2030
Mordor Intelligence announced in a press release that the global aviation software market is projected to grow from USD 13.13 billion in 2025 to USD 18.12 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 6.64%. The increase is attributed to digital transformation across airlines, airports, and maintenance organizations, with AI adoption playing a central role in improving fuel efficiency, predictive maintenance, and cybersecurity compliance.
The report highlights the growing transition to cloud-based aviation platforms, citing examples such as American Airlines' migration to IBM Cloud and Pegasus Airlines' use of Microsoft Azure AI to enhance operational performance. Cloud technology is enabling scalable and cost-effective solutions, supporting faster application development and deployment for airlines worldwide.
AI and machine learning are also being applied to optimize fuel consumption and maintenance processes. United Airlines uses the TCS Aviana platform on AWS for real-time analytics in flight planning and crew management, while Airbus’ Skywise ecosystem continues to expand its intelligent maintenance capabilities across thousands of aircraft. These implementations are contributing to substantial cost savings and efficiency gains across the sector.
Regional analysis shows North America leading the market due to strong AI adoption and cloud infrastructure, while Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing region, driven by rising air travel demand and investments in cloud-based systems in countries such as India, China, and Indonesia.
