Molicel Unveils High-Safety S Series Batteries for AI and Data Centers
Molicel has introduced its S Series ultra-high power cells, designed for enhanced safety and performance in data centers and AI computing, announced in a press release. The S Series, launching in 2025, is engineered to provide reliable power for Battery Backup Units (BBUs) and is currently being shipped to major cloud service providers.
The S Series offers outstanding performance in both 18650 and 21700 cell formats, with the 18650 format including the INR-18650-P22S and INR-18650-P30S, and the 21700 format featuring the INR-21700-P50S. These cells are designed for high discharge with low flammability, supporting OCP ORV3 for data center BBUs and a new high-voltage system.
Molicel's S Series is engineered with optimized long calendar life and low flammability, providing exceptional safety and discharge capabilities. These ultra-high power cells deliver dependable power with over 1.5 minutes of backup time and a 6-year retention period, ensuring the highest safety standards for hyperscale data centers and AI computing.
