MarketsandMarkets projects the global modular data center market will grow from $41 billion in 2026 to $93.6 billion by 2031, according to a press release. The forecast represents an 18% compound annual growth rate, up from a market value of $34.9 billion in 2025.

The firm attributes the projected growth to demand for infrastructure that can be deployed quickly and expanded as needed, along with wider cloud computing use and growth in AI applications. The solutions segment is expected to have the largest market value in 2026 at about $29.85 billion.

All in one modular data centers are projected to grow at a 19.6% annual rate, while skid mounted systems could grow at 21.2%. Asia Pacific is expected to be the fastest growing region as investment in cloud, AI and data center capacity increases.
