ModelBest Details AI Built Training Tools for MiniCPM5 Models

ModelBest says its ForgeTrain and ForgeStencil systems use AI agents to build or optimize AI training and scientific software, including MiniCPM5 models.

ModelBest announced in a press release a set of tools that use AI agents to build and optimize AI training systems. The company said the work is part of its Forge Engineering approach, which applies coding agents to software used in model development.

ModelBest said it released ForgeTrain with the OpenBMB open source community at the end of May. The company said ForgeTrain was built by AI with no human in the loop and was used to train the base model of MiniCPM5-1B at a speed 10% faster than NVIDIA's Megatron.

At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in July, ModelBest said it used an agent powered by GLM-5.2 to optimize a training framework in 18 hours and train MiniCPM5-130M from scratch. In August, it released ForgeStencil, a system that it said optimized more than 100 stencils for industrial and scientific software in one week.
