MobileX Gets CONX Investment for AI Wireless Platform
MobileX announced in a press release that CONX Corporation has made a strategic investment that gives CONX a controlling interest in the wireless carrier. Financial terms were not disclosed.
MobileX said the capital will be used to expand its AI powered technology platform, increase distribution, and support customer acquisition. The company uses artificial intelligence to predict customer data needs and recommend personalized wireless plans.
EchoStar founder, CEO and chairman Charlie Ergen, who also chairs CONX, and CONX CEO Jason Kiser will join the MobileX board of directors. MobileX offers customizable plans starting at $3.88 a month before taxes and government surcharges, with service available through its apps, website, Amazon, Walmart.com, Walmart stores, and independent dealer locations.
