Mistral AI released Timestral 1.0 in public preview and says it ranks first among pretrained and zero shot models on GIFT-Eval, TIME and fev-bench, according to its model documentation. A smaller 123M variant is also available, with separate documentation describing a balance between forecast accuracy and efficiency.
Both models support contexts of up to 32K timesteps, historical covariates, known future covariates and probabilistic quantile outputs. Timestral 1.0 has 209 million parameters, while the smaller version has 123 million parameters. Their weights use the Modified MIT license.
