Meta Partners with Midjourney for AI Image and Video Models
Meta Platforms has announced a partnership with Midjourney to license the startup's AI image and video generation technology, according to The Information. Meta's Chief AI Officer, Alexandr Wang, shared that the collaboration will involve Meta's research teams working closely with Midjourney to incorporate its technology into future AI models and products.
This partnership is part of Meta's broader strategy to enhance its AI capabilities, following recent investments and acquisitions in the AI sector. Midjourney, known for its realistic and unique AI-generated images, offers subscription-based services and has recently launched its first AI video model, V1. Despite discussions about potential acquisition, Midjourney remains independent and self-funded, with no outside investors.
