MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Powers Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Tablets

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ use MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 chip for on device AI, graphics and multitasking.

MediaTek said in a press release that its Dimensity 9500 chip powers the new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ from Samsung. The tablets support on device Galaxy AI, creative applications and multitasking.

The Dimensity 9500 uses TSMC's 3nm process and an All Big Core CPU architecture. It includes the MediaTek NPU 990 and Generative AI Engine 2.0 for AI features that run on the device or through cloud services.

A 12 core GPU supports hardware accelerated ray tracing and Unreal Engine 5.5 or later. The Galaxy Tab S12 series will be available through major retailers starting October 7.
