MarketsandMarkets Projects RISC-V Market to Reach $4.85 Billion by 2032
MarketsandMarkets announced in a report that the global RISC-V market is expected to reach 4.85 billion dollars by 2032, up from 1.31 billion dollars in 2026. The report forecasts a compound annual growth rate of 24.3 percent over the period.
The growth is attributed to increased global investments in semiconductor sovereignty and reduced reliance on proprietary processor architectures such as ARM and x86. Governments and enterprises in China, India, and other countries are supporting open hardware programs to strengthen domestic semiconductor capabilities.
RISC-V based processors are seeing rising adoption in sectors such as defense, telecommunications, industrial systems, and AI computing. The software segment is projected to record the highest growth rate of 40.2 percent, while 128-bit architectures are expected to expand at 27.6 percent annually. Computer applications are forecast to hold the largest market share at 37.7 percent by 2032.
The Asia Pacific region is anticipated to experience the fastest growth due to strong government support for semiconductor self-sufficiency and local processor development in China, India, Japan, and South Korea.
