Manycore Tech Unveils Spatial AI Models for 3D Scene Understanding
Manycore Tech has unveiled its latest advancements in spatial AI with the introduction of SpatialLM 1.5 and SpatialGen, announced in a press release. These models are designed to enhance 3D scene understanding and generation, marking a significant step in the open-source ecosystem for spatial computing.
SpatialLM 1.5 is a spatial language model that allows users to generate 3D scenes through natural language commands. It interprets textual instructions to produce structured outputs that include spatial layouts and object relationships, addressing the scarcity of high-quality training data in robotics.
SpatialGen, on the other hand, focuses on generation and visualization. It uses a diffusion model architecture to create spatially and temporally consistent views from text prompts and 3D spatial layouts. This model aims to overcome challenges in maintaining spatiotemporal consistency in AI-generated content, paving the way for more immersive 3D environments.
Both models will be progressively open-sourced on platforms like Hugging Face and GitHub, with SpatialGen already available for download. This initiative by Manycore Tech aims to democratize access to advanced 3D scene technologies, fostering innovation in fields such as robotics and immersive media.
