Loftware Report Finds Supply Chains Accelerating AI and Cloud Modernization
Loftware has released its 2026 Top 5 Trends Report, showing that global supply chains are moving quickly to adopt AI, cloud technology, and connected networks to improve resilience and efficiency, announced in a press release.
The report, based on a survey of more than 400 supply chain professionals across 55 countries, indicates that businesses are prioritizing cloud-based labeling, real-time packaging intelligence, and AI-enabled automation to manage disruption and regulatory change. Nearly 70% of respondents said that sharing label data with trading partners improves response time to disruptions, while 48% reported faster problem resolution after implementing connected supply chain models.
Loftware’s findings highlight the financial pressures facing large enterprises, with half of companies earning over $1 billion expecting tariffs and trade restrictions to cost them more than $1 million in 2026. To address these challenges, organizations are investing in unified supplier ecosystems and cloud labeling tools to maintain compliance and operational accuracy.
The report also notes that 75% of companies use SaaS-based labeling to enhance supply chain resilience. Respondents cited benefits such as higher efficiency, fewer errors, and reduced waste. Additionally, 91% said real-time label data helps cut waste and improve efficiency, underscoring the growing importance of connected packaging and traceability in global supply chain operations.
