LF AI & Data Foundation Adds AIRSEAI Embodied AI Project

LF AI & Data Foundation has added AIRSEAI, an open source embodied AI project initiated by Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society, to support interoperability across robotics hardware, software, data, and AI models.

The LF AI & Data Foundation announced in a press release that AIRSEAI, an open source embodied AI project initiated by the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society, has joined the foundation. AIRSEAI is designed to support interoperability across robotics hardware, software, datasets, and AI models.

The project provides a modular framework for testing and deploying robotic intelligence across different hardware architectures. LF AI & Data said AIRSEAI is intended to reduce dependence on proprietary robotics platforms and hardware specific software stacks.

AIRSEAI's roadmap includes modular single robot intelligence, dual arm manipulation based on data, and collective adaptive intelligence. The announced AIRSEAI 2.0 work includes vision based tactile sensing and an elastic model zoo, while planned AIRSEAI 3.0 updates are intended to support coordination among different robots in distributed environments.
