LexisNexis Introduces AI Location Intelligence for U.S. Home Insurers
LexisNexis announced in a press release the launch of LexisNexis Location Intelligence for Home, an AI-based predictive model designed to improve property risk assessment for U.S. home insurance carriers. The tool uses neural network modeling to generate risk scores that help insurers evaluate properties more accurately during new business and renewal processes.
Location Intelligence combines industry-wide home claims data with predictive modeling that incorporates location-based insights and historical loss patterns. Properties with the highest risk scores are reported to be 20 times more likely to experience a claim compared to those with the lowest scores. The model assesses six perils, including hail, wind, weather-related water, non-weather water, freeze, and collapse or falling object.
The solution is integrated into LexisNexis Smart Selection, the company’s automated data service that delivers inspection flags and business rules for property risk segmentation. It provides granular risk insights and portfolio-level visibility, helping underwriters apply consistent evaluation criteria across their workflows. Location Intelligence will also be filed as a predictive model in several states for use in underwriting and rating processes.
