Lexar and ASUS Collaborate on AI Storage and Gaming Solutions at Computex 2026
Lexar unveiled a collaboration with ASUS at Computex 2026, highlighting new AI-focused storage and memory technologies announced in a press release. The showcase features Lexar's AI storage solutions for compact PCs, edge systems, and gaming platforms, emphasizing the role of storage in accelerating local AI workloads.
At the event, Lexar presented an AI-grade Gen4 SSD integrated with the ASUS NUC 15 Pro Mini PC, demonstrating storage optimization for compact AI computing. The companies are also exploring future AI storage formats, including an AI-grade Storage Stick concept for flexible expansion. In gaming, Lexar displayed its PLAY X PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD with the ASUS ROG XBOX ALLY handheld, offering read speeds up to 7400 MB per second and write speeds up to 6500 MB per second.
Lexar also showcased ARES RGB DDR5 ROG Certified memory developed with ASUS ROG motherboards, supporting high bandwidth and large capacities for AI PCs and gaming. The company demonstrated its Gen5 SSD and Storage Stick concepts, designed to deliver up to 11 GB per second bandwidth for edge AI devices.
The collaboration builds on Lexar’s AI Storage Core platform, which integrates Longsys’ Gen5 Storage Processing Unit and Intelligent Scheduling technologies. These systems are designed to enhance AI inference performance by managing large model data and reducing DRAM requirements. Visitors can view the full range of Lexar’s AI storage and memory products at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei from June 2 to 5.
