Leading the Future Coalition Launches to Boost U.S. AI Leadership
Leading the Future, a coalition of AI companies and innovators, has launched a new initiative to ensure the United States maintains its leadership in AI innovation and governance. This effort, announced in a press release, is backed by over $100 million from key industry stakeholders, including Andreessen Horowitz and Greg and Anna Brockman.
The coalition aims to advance a comprehensive policy agenda at both federal and state levels, focusing on promoting AI innovation and economic growth. It will operate through a network of federal and state Super PACs and 501(c)(4) organizations, engaging in the 2026 election cycle to support candidates aligned with a pro-AI agenda.
LTF's operations will initially begin in New York, California, Illinois, and Ohio, with plans to expand nationally by 2026. The initiative is led by political strategists Zac Moffatt and Josh Vlasto, who emphasize the importance of AI in economic growth and national security.
