Lambda Signs Multibillion-Dollar AI Infrastructure Deal with Microsoft

Lambda has entered a multibillion-dollar agreement with Microsoft to deploy tens of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs, expanding their long-term collaboration on AI infrastructure.

Lambda has entered a multibillion-dollar agreement with Microsoft to deploy AI infrastructure powered by tens of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs, announced in a press release.

The multi-year deal will include NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems and aims to expand access to large-scale accelerated computing resources for AI workloads. The companies have worked together for more than eight years, and this agreement marks a significant expansion of that relationship.

Lambda’s CEO Stephen Balaban said the collaboration will see the two teams deploying large-scale AI supercomputers. The company, which builds what it calls gigawatt-scale AI factories, provides infrastructure for training and inference at scale.

Neither company disclosed the specific financial terms or deployment timeline of the agreement.
