Kythera Labs Introduces Wayfinder DataSync for Improved Healthcare Data Integration

May 28, 2026
Kythera Labs has launched Wayfinder DataSync, a solution that connects internal health system data with external claims to improve visibility into patient movement, referrals, and market performance.

Kythera Labs announced in a press release the launch of Wayfinder DataSync, a platform designed to help healthcare organizations integrate internal operational and billing data with external healthcare claims. The solution aims to provide a unified view of patient movement, referral leakage, and market dynamics.

Wayfinder DataSync uses privacy-preserving tokenization, machine learning based patient mastering, and governance features to ensure secure and compliant data integration. According to Kythera Labs, health systems using the platform have achieved measurable results, such as reducing referral leakage by up to 35 percent and increasing patient visibility from 75 percent to over 90 percent after full integration.

In one analysis, the system identified 382 total knee replacement procedures that were previously untracked by internal and external reporting. Another study within a cardiovascular service line found approximately 10,800 additional retained cardiology encounters, representing between 1.6 million and 3.8 million dollars in annualized value. The company states that these outcomes demonstrate the platform’s ability to improve data reliability and support business planning across healthcare systems.
