Kirin and GenerativeX Add AI Agents to Research Labs
Kirin Holdings and GenerativeX have built an AI agent research environment for selected Kirin laboratories, the companies announced in a press release. The initiative launched in 2026 in select research divisions at Kirin.
The system places AI agents inside research workflows rather than requiring researchers to call on separate tools. It supports hypothesis generation, information searches, brainstorming, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Kirin designed the research concept and is applying it in lab settings. GenerativeX provided the AI technology and implemented the system.
The companies said the system was developed with feedback from researchers. They are considering wider use across the Kirin Group and plan to add functions that can understand each researcher’s expertise and research themes, identify emerging issues, propose hypotheses, and support collaboration.
