Keeper Security Adds Local AI Phishing Warnings to Browser Extension

Oct 22, 2026
Keeper Security has added an optional phishing protection feature that analyzes websites locally and warns users before they enter credentials on suspected fraudulent pages.

Keeper Security announced in a press release a phishing protection feature that warns users before they enter credentials on suspected fraudulent login pages. The optional feature is available in version 18.2.0 of the Keeper Browser Extension and is disabled by default.

A local AI model examines web pages for signs of credential harvesting, including lookalike domains, unofficial brand pages, suspicious IP addresses, unusual link structures and password requests from untrusted sites. Keeper says the analysis runs on the user's device and does not share user data.

When the extension identifies a suspicious page, it displays the detected threat pattern. Users can dismiss the warning or disable Keeper on the site, while administrators can manage the feature through the Keeper Admin Console. Access and autofill can be restored through a blocked sites list.
