Karsan has begun operating its Autonomous e-JEST in Atlanta as part of ATL Spoke, the city's first autonomous public transportation pilot project, announced in a press release. The service provides free passenger transport between the MARTA West End Station and the Atlanta Beltline Southwest Trail.

The project brings Karsan's autonomous mobility technology to North America and will support passenger movement during the period when Atlanta hosts the world's largest soccer tournament. The ATL Spoke initiative aims to test autonomous systems in real passenger operations and evaluate their performance in daily transit use.

Karsan CEO Okan Bas said the project demonstrates how autonomous transport can function in real conditions and improve first and last mile connections. The company expects the Autonomous e-JEST to strengthen public transportation links and contribute to a more accessible network across the city.
