The Josh Bersin Company Unveils HR 2030 Blueprint for Agentic AI Transformation
The Josh Bersin Company announced in a press release a new research and advisory program titled HR 2030: The Journey to Agentic HR. The initiative presents a four-year roadmap for transforming human resources functions through the use of AI agents and superagents.
The HR 2030 blueprint outlines an architecture that supports smaller, more business-focused HR teams, potentially 30 to 50 percent leaner as new roles emerge. It defines several types of AI agents, including those for employee interaction, decision support, monitoring, actions, and business rules.
The framework emphasizes the concept of superagents that operate continuously across people and business processes to streamline HR operations. It also includes guidance for prioritizing investment across 95 identified agent capabilities to prevent inefficiencies described as agent sprawl.
The research positions HR as a dynamic service model focused on what it calls Dynamic Enablement for Growth, shifting attention from compliance and administrative tasks to growth-oriented functions.
