Instacart Joins Collaborative for Healthy Rural America to Support Nutrition Access
Instacart has joined the Collaborative for Healthy Rural America (CHRA), announced in a press release. The partnership aims to help states expand access to nutritious food and essential goods while supporting efforts to improve chronic disease management and health outcomes in rural communities.
The collaboration aligns with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' Rural Health Transformation initiatives, which focus on technology enabled care models and AI driven virtual primary care. CHRA supports states in implementing redesigned care delivery systems suited to low volume and high fixed cost environments.
With approximately ten billion dollars in first year funding distributed nationally, states are advancing implementation of rural health transformation projects. The inclusion of Instacart enhances CHRA's ability to integrate food access into coordinated care delivery and community engagement efforts.
